Dear sister, I don't know about you, but wisdom is one of those things I pray for most.
I pray for wisdom because often I feel like a 'foolish woman'.
Sometimes I feel like I simply do dumb things or make foolish choices.
Afterwards all that can run through my mind is "What was I thinking?!"
So I pray for wisdom.
Wisdom to know how to lead my family.
Wisdom to know how to care for my children.
Wisdom to know how to best handle finances, healthcare, schooling, etc.
Life can feel daunting you know? It feels like there is so much responsibility resting on my shoulders and I feel completely ill equipped to handle any of it. Then with everything going on in the world today it feels my decisions need to be even more calculated as they can impact the safety and health of my family. Life can be tough.
So the idea that the Lord wants to bless us with wisdom, it just comforts my weary soul. The teaching of kindness on her tongue is just such a wonderfully poetic way of saying that you are speaking blessings on others with your kindness. Each time you give a word of encouragement to someone, or simply tell a co-worker they look nice today, you are giving blessings of kindness. You are helping someone to feel good. It may feel like a small act, but it will carry with them.
