Daily Scripture Quote: The Lord will Fight For You

Let the Lord carry your burdens, let your weary soul rest. He will fight for you.

This quote embodies one of the most truthful scripture promises but one of the ones that has been the hardest for me to learn.

It took hitting some deep dark places, running into hopelessly desperate situations to learn how true this scripture quote is.

When I hit that wall where I felt it was all hopeless and didn't know what to do, I just became still. I told the Lord I give it all to Him, and gave myself up to Him. And you know what? Each time I stopped fighting it. Stopped fighting or trying to fix whatever the impossible situation was, He took over. He really did. Somehow and I don't know how He does it, but somehow each time he worked it out for my good. He protected me. He kept me safe. He made me come out of the situation just fine or even better off.

Each time I was amazed. Even more so, I was grateful. Like throw myself on the floor at His feet grateful. Grateful for His mercy.

This is one of the truest yet hardest to learn scriptures

If you are facing an impossible situation give it to Him today. Quit fighting. Quit trying to fix. Quit trying to control the situation. Just give it to him. I would tell myself I can step away from this for 48 hours. Nothing will drastically change in 48 hours. Let me step away for a moment. And each time he stepped in and I was glad I stepped away.

As hard as it is, you really have to trust Him. He will fight for you. All you have to do is be still
