With everything going on in the world right now, from disease to protests, there isn't a lot of love right now. I believe we can fight injustice with love. I believe in times of a pandemic we can come together with love. We are commanded to love each other.

Dear friend, there is no clause behind God's command to Love one Another. There is no love each other unless a pandemic comes up. Love each other unless you don't see eye to eye on issues with your friend.
Nope, we are commanded to love each other. Period, point blank. If you and your friend differ on opinions, keep in mind you both have different life experiences. In your own ways each of you may have been wronged by others. You each may have grudges you are holding onto. However, you still are commanded to Love each Other. Support each other. Help each other, lend support.
God didn't say well we have a pandemic so if someone gets within 10 ft of you give them a dirty look. Don't talk to each other anymore, just isolate yourselves. That is not what he said. In times like this you should be picking up that phone and reaching out to others more then ever. Check on a neighbor, do they need anything? Do you know someone elderly? Could they use you pick up a few groceries for them so they don't have to go in a busy store?
Friends, The opportunities to show love right now are endless. They are all around you. They may take you out of your comfort zone but the riches awaiting you in Heaven for showing such kindness are endless.
Think of it this way, if someone said "I'll give you $50,000 to mow your elderly neighbor's yard", you would do it. You wouldn't hesitate, especially if you saw the money in hand. You see the reward and boom you are on it.
But don't lose sight of the big picture here. That $50,000 will get you some things you've been wanting on earth. But that only lasts for a season. The car you got eventually wears down, it gets older, doesn't last forever. The money eventually disappears. But there are treasures awaiting you in Heaven. Treasure that lasts forever. Treasure that doesn't end.
By being a good person, helping others, doing it with a glad heart, giving your praise to the Lord, you earned $10 billion dollars worth of treasure in Heaven. You earned eternal peace, being in glory, you earned the right to live in His Kingdom. Keep an eye on the eternal prize and Love one Another as we are all commanded to do.
