Taking my kids to the park is always so much fun. From the joyous yells when I ask if they want to go to seeing them scramble all over the park in total freedom getting out all their pent up energy from the day. That free spirited nature makes my heart melt.

Today we decided to visit the playground in the heart of the quaint town of Farmersville, TX.
This playground was nice and large, had bathroom facilities (a plus with little ones), a playground, swing, plenty of other creative equipment to climb on.
I particularly loved the beauty of the landscaping, this was a very photogenic park. Perfect for taking family photos. Here are some of the photos from our day.
How cute is this little bridge?! Love the big shady trees all around, so cute for photos.

Miss Sassy Pants. This is her new 'pose'. She's 5 going on 15.

At first when I looked at these I thought what on earth do you do with them? But big girl had fun climbing back and forth between them. There's about 6 of them side by side at varying heights for climbing.

I love this old industrial whatever it is. Kids like climbing up it, it has that cool rustic industrial look for photos. Something different from the usual playground equipment.

After all the fun, we strolled down to the 'square' and checked out a few shops. Then we went over to the Ice Cream shop, called Hibbits. They had a TV and let my girls pick their favorite Disney movie to watch while they enjoyed some made from scratch ice cream! The girls had Vanilla and I had my usual, chocolate with dark chocolate chips (tip, you have to ask them to go to the back and get a little cup of dark chocolate chips). They have alcoholic and non alcoholic flavors, so I can see this being a fun place for adults and kids alike.
If you ever want to enjoy a day of play, shopping and treats that is away from the hustle and bustle of Dallas, then I highly suggest visiting the town of Farmersville!
